部分词条英文解释原文: Phish (fish´ing) (n.) The act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate

enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity

theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information,

such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate

organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information.

Spam Electronic junk mail or junk newsgroup postings. Some people define spam even more generally as any

unsolicited e-mail. However, if a long-lost brother finds your e-mail address and sends you a message, this

could hardly be called spam, even though it’s unsolicited. Real spam is generally e-mail advertising for some

product sent to a mailing list or newsgroup.

Packet Sniffer A packet sniffer (also known as a network sniffer, network analyzer or protocol analyzer or, for particular

types of networks, an Ethernet sniffer or wireless sniffer) is computer software or computer hardware that can

intercept and log traffic passing over a digital network or part of a network.[1] As data streams flow across

the network, the sniffer captures each packet and eventually decodes and analyzes its content according to

the appropriate RFC or other specifications.

Booting (up) In computing, booting (booting up) is a bootstrapping process that starts operating systems when the user

turns on a computer system. A boot sequence is the set of operations the computer performs when it is
